New Sheikh Romance On It's Way!
I've been away for a while on my summer holidays (which is why it's been quiet on this blog recently) and I while I was gone, I took advantage of the free time to write my next sheikh romance. It has a provisional title of A BRIDE FOR THE SHEIKH and although it's still at draft stage, I can give away a little bit about it.
When Sheikh Rashid is told by his father,
the sultan, that he must marry the scheming daughter of his financial adviser,
Chrystal Longhorn, the sheikh refuses. The sultan finally agrees to let his son
choose his own bride, but on two conditions: she must be a foreigner, to
prevent intermarriage with a local family, and she must be presented to the
sultan as the sheikh’s bride in just two weeks’ time.
That evening Sheikh Rashid
meets Angelina Smith, a beautiful young woman from England. The sheikh is
immediately besotted with her. The attraction is mutual, but Angelina has just
accepted a place at an exclusive law school in London. Will she throw away her
hard-earned career dreams to become a Middle Eastern wife?
Being the royal wife of a
billionaire sheikh is exactly what Chrystal Longhorn wants. What lengths will
she go to in order to keep Sheikh Rashid and make sure he marries her and not
Angelina?
Sheikh Rashid has only two
weeks to persuade Angelina to marry him, or face a loveless marriage with
Chrystal.
The clock is ticking...
The book still needs to be edited, but I hope to release it soon. Watch this space!

Hot New Romance Release by Beverly Preston
I'm a huge fan of romance author, Beverly Preston, and I just love the cover of her new novel, SHAYLA'S STORY. Here's what it's about:
~ People come into your life for a Reason, a Season or a Lifetime ~
A Reason…
Questioning her relationship with a man who worships politics more than her, Shayla Clemmins escapes reality for the seductive sunsets of Greece. There she finds exactly what she didn’t know was missing from her life, but fears she’ll lose him to her past.
A Season...
John Mathews works hard and plays even harder. When he finds a new passion in the sensual warmth of Greece, he discovers that one lust-filled weekend of romance is just not enough.
A Lifetime...
With Shayla’s past catching up to her and an anonymous threat to her future, can she and John make a lifetime together?
It has already hit #1 on Amazon's bestseller charts, as everyone is grabbing a copy of what looks to be a fantastic summer read!

The Desert Sheikh. Now a #1 Amazon Bestseller!
What an amazing week it's been! Just over a week ago I released The Desert Sheikh, a sheikh romance in three parts, and already it's reached a top spot on Amazon and is now a #1 Best Seller! As well as hitting number 1 in Hot New Releases in Eastern Drama, it has reached number 5 in Amazon's list for Short Story Romances.
The individual parts of the story, Kidnapped By The Sheikh, Married To The Sheikh and The Sheikh's Son are also doing well. They are in the top 4 in Hot New Releases in Eastern Drama and they are in the top 10 in Best Sellers in the same category.
I would like to thank everybody who has downloaded a copy of one of my sheikh books. It looks like a sheikh romance is just what's needed to escape the cold on a long, dark winter's night.

Hot New Release! The Desert Sheikh
This week I am super excited to see my latest romance novel, The Desert Sheikh, on the virtual bookshops where it is already selling fast!
The first book, Kidnapped By The Sheikh, is about a woman, Dr Sarah Greenwich, who is kidnapped on her way to the airport by a Bedouin warlord, Sheikh Akbar Al-Zafir, in the mistaken belief that she is the British Ambassador's wife. Eventually, the sheikh discovers that he has been tricked, but by then it is too late, he has already fallen in love with his captive. . .
However, in Book 2, Married To The Sheikh, Sarah quickly discovers that life in the desert is not as idyllic as it could be. Although the sheikh is a passionate, sensual lover, he is not the perfect husband. Also, there are other women who want to get into Sheikh Akbar's bed. Eventually, Sarah is forced to make a terrible choice. . .
In Book 3, The Sheikh's Son, Sarah and Akbar struggle to reconcile their completely different lifestyles and cultures: she's a doctor living in London, while he's a Bedouin ruler from the Arabian peninsula. However, the presence of Ali, their only child and the sheikh's heir, forces them into trying to find a solution. . .
Although each story stands on its own and can be bought separately as novellas, they are also published together as a complete book, The Desert Sheikh, so people can read them in order (and save money!!)

Great Women, Great Authors: Meet Dawn Torrens!
I have always admired people who have shown great
personal strength and today it’s great to welcome one amazing woman who has,
Dawn Torrens.
My first two books were a very personal project. They were
about my true life story and one I felt compelled to share with everyone. I am
a firm believer that dreams can come true no matter what anyone tells you. No
matter how tough life gets or how far away your hopes and dreams seem to be,
there is always a way to make them happen if you are determined enough. I had a
very challenging childhood one that chipped away at your confidence little by
little each day and one where there was no place for dreams, as simply existing
daily was a hard enough task. I wrote my life story over two books, Amelia’s Story and Amelia’s Destiny.
Dawn, could
you tell us about your first two books?

Book Reviews: The Good, The Bad and The Silly
Today I received a wonderful message
from a reader saying how much she enjoyed reading The Royal Sheikh and earlier
this week I received this great 5-star review for Her Latin Lover:
“Her Latin Lover was an exciting
read. I love a good instant attraction, and this author gave me that with Mary
and Paulo. Mary is a considerate and trusting woman who is taken advantage of
by her boyfriend. Paulo swoops in and saves the day, as any sexy, honorable man
would. Their attraction blossoms, until the unexpected happens. I was on the
edge of my seat, the whole time. I wished the romance would have happened
sooner, but all in all, it was great. I will definitely read more from this
author. Pick this up, you will love it.”

Find out about The Ups and Downs of Being Dead and win a bestselling book!

| M. R. Cornelius |
Today it’s great to welcome back Marsha Cornelius, the author
of H10N1 and The Ups and Downs of Being Dead (see below, to find out how you
can win a FREE signed copy of this bestselling book).
I owe most of the book’s success to Amazon’s Kindle Direct
Publishing. KDP has a Select program that lets you post the book for free. And
when all those free downloads start pouring in, your standing on Amazon goes
way up. I’ve been in the Top Ten paid books in drama at Amazon a couple times,
and the sales really pick up. But there’s always another book hot on your heels
to knock you down a step or two. (Or ten)
Marsha, since your last interview in January, your novel H10N1 has been
very successful. Could you tell us a bit about this?

Do Amazon Rankings Matter?
I was recently on holiday in the USA, during which time I grabbed the chance to do some rather shameless
promotion of my books (I also drank quite a few frozen margaritas during the holiday, but
that’s another story that probably doesn’t bear telling). As everyone nowadays has
some form of portable electronic device, it was fast and easy for them to whip
out their iPhone, tablet, BlackBerry etc, look up my romance novels on Amazon.
When they checked out my books, what did they look
at? Almost without fail, it was the book cover and then the reviews. No one, absolutely
no one, looked at my rankings and when I pointed them out (during a nice spike
one weekend), the other people had no idea what they meant and didn’t care! So,
do rankings matter?

Art, Love and Writing: Meet Uvi Poznansky
Today it is great to welcome Uvi Poznansky, author of Apart From Love.
First, could you tell us what your book is about?
My novel, Apart From Love, is an
intimate peek into the life of a uniquely strange family: Natasha, the
accomplished pianist, has been stricken with early-onset Alzheimer’s. Her
ex-husband Lenny has never told their son Ben, who left home ten years ago, about
her situation. At the same time he, Lenny, has been carrying on a love affair
with a young redhead, who bears a striking physical resemblance to his
wife--but unlike her, is uneducated, direct and unrefined. This is how things
stand at this moment, the moment of Ben’s return to his childhood home, and to
a contentious relationship with his father.
The story is told from two points of
view, Ben’s and Anita’s, which gives me an opportunity to illustrate how the
same events, seen from different angles and through difference experiences in
life, are interpreted in an entirely different way.
